The purpose of this Privacy Statement is to set out how Tape Ark collects, uses, stores and discloses Personal Information provided to us by visitors to either our websites (sites) or third-party sites.
Personal Information, which identifies or relates to an individual, may include:

How do we collect Personal Information?
Tape Ark may collect your personal information when you create an account, sign up for our newsletter, reach out to us directly, utilize our services, browse our website, make a purchase, or provide us with goods or services. This information may be collected directly from you or through third-parties.
Our web server automatically recognizes the IP address/domain name combination of every visitor to our web page. We gather this information, along with aggregate data on the pages you visit, and any information you volunteer, such as survey responses, product registration, order fulfillment, and site registration.
The information we collect is used internally for analytics and reporting and is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.
We collect the email addresses of those who contact us via email, as well as any information volunteered by consumers, such as survey responses, site registrations, promotions, and order fulfillment. If you do not want to receive future emails from us, please let us know by sending an email to info@tapeark.com telling us that you do not want to receive communication from our company.
There are links on our sites that direct you to the websites of other companies, individuals, and organizations. While this Privacy Statement represents the Privacy Policy of Tape Ark, we cannot be responsible for the policy or conduct of any other site, whether or not you link to it from the Tape Ark website.
From other sources
We may collect your Personal Information from other sources, including publicly available databases and joint marketing partners, in addition to what you provide directly to us. Additionally, we may allow you to share information with third-party social media websites, or permit you to use those websites to create or connect to your Tape Ark account. These social media websites may give us access to certain Personal Information they have stored based on your interactions with their online services. This information may include content you have viewed and details about advertisements that you have been shown or may have clicked on. You can control what Personal Information you allow us to have through the privacy settings on that third-party site and the permissions you give us.
If you give us or our service providers any Personal Information relating to other people in connection with our sites, you are confirming that you have permission to do so, and that we may use it according to this Privacy Policy.

Who do we disclose Personal Information to?

“Other Information” refers to data that doesn’t directly identify you or relate to an identifiable individual. Examples include browser and device information; information gathered through cookies, pixel tags, and other technologies; data collected from our devices and other offerings; demographic information and other details you provide that don’t reveal your specific identity; and information that has been aggregated so that it no longer reveals your identity.

IP address
Your Internet Service Provider automatically assigns an IP address to your computer. When you access our sites, this IP address, the time and pages visited, may be identified and logged in our server log files. We use IP addresses to calculate usage levels, diagnose server problems, administer the sites, and may also use it to derive your approximate location.
Uses and disclosures of Other Information
In some cases, Other Information is combined with Personal Information. In these cases, the combined information will be treated as Personal Information for as long as it remains combined.

Tape Ark engages third-party advertising service providers to display advertisements on websites other than Tape Ark’s own. These providers may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver these advertisements to you.

We collaborate with advertising service providers to identify which advertisements might be most relevant to you. How to stop receiving our marketing emails
To stop receiving marketing emails, click the “Unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or contact us using the details below. Your request will be processed as soon as possible. You may still receive important administrative messages.
Your privacy rights and how to exercise them
Under applicable privacy laws, including the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request corrections to inaccurate or outdated data.
- Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Request deletion of your data, unless retention is required by law, fraud prevention or security audits.
- Objection to Processing: Object to direct marketing or automated processing of your data.
- Restriction of Processing: Request that we limit how we use your data in specific situations.

Retention period
We retain Personal Information only as long as necessary based on service delivery, legal compliance, security investigations and user requests.
To request deletion of your Personal Information, please contact privacy@tapeark.com. We will comply unless retention is required for legal or regulatory obligations, fraud prevention or security audits.
Use of site by minors
The sites is not directed toward individuals under the age of eighteen (18). We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from individuals under 18. If we learn that a minor has provided personal data, we will delete the data immediately. If you are a parent/guardian and believe your child has shared data with us, please contact privacy@tapeark.com.
Jurisdiction and cross-border transfer
Your Personal Information may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or engage service providers. This means that information may be transferred, through normal business operations, to countries outside of your country of residence, which may have different data protection rules. In some cases, courts, law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies, or security authorities in those countries may be able to access your Personal Information.
The European Commission recognizes some non-EEA countries as providing adequate data protection. For transfers from the EEA to countries not considered adequate, we have implemented measures such as standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission to protect your Personal Information. California Consumer Privacy Act Notice
This California Consumer Privacy Act Notice (“Notice”) applies to California residents and complies with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”). Tape Ark, including affiliates operating under the Tape Ark name or brand, (collectively, “Tape Ark” or “we” or “us”) provides this Notice.
Note that this Notice does not apply to job applicants, employees, contractors, owners, directors, or officers if Tape Ark collects their Personal Information concerning their current, former, or potential role at Tape Ark.
Our collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information
The CCPA defines Personal Information as data that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with a specific California resident or household.
We collect Personal Information in a variety of ways, including when you interact with us through our websites, over the phone, by responding to surveys, or by purchasing, registering, or returning a product or service. Additionally, we may collect Personal Information from other sources, such as publicly available databases and joint marketing partners, when they share that information with us.
The categories of Personal Information that we have collected or disclosed within the preceding 12 months include: Identifiers (such as name, telephone number, postal address, email address, user account name, social media account ID, and IP address); Personal information as defined in the California safeguards law (such as contact information and profile picture); Characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law (such as gender); Commercial information (such as transaction information and purchase history); Internet or network activity information (such as browsing history and interactions with websites and advertisements); Geolocation data (such as IP address); Audio, electronic, visual, and similar information (such as call and video recordings); Professional or employment-related information (such as work history and prior employer); and Inferences drawn from any of the Personal Information listed above to create a summary about, for example, an individual’s preferences and characteristics.
We may use this Personal Information for business purposes, including: operating, managing, and maintaining our business; providing our products and services; employment and vendor management; product development, improvement, repair, and maintenance; personalization, advertisement, and marketing; research, analytics, and data analysis; facility and infrastructure maintenance; quality and safety assurance; risk and security control and monitoring; fraud detection and prevention; identity verification; accounting, audit, and other internal functions (such as internal investigations); legal compliance; record maintenance; and exercising and defending legal claims.

The CCPA defines “sold” or “sale” as the disclosure of Personal Information for monetary or other valuable consideration. However, this definition does not include the transfer of Personal Information as an asset that is part of a merger, bankruptcy, or other disposition of all or any portion of our business. Therefore, we have not “sold” Personal Information for the purposes of the CCPA.
Making rights requests under the CCPA
Disclosure: Upon your request, we will disclose the following information covering the 12 months preceding your request:
- The categories of Personal Information collected about you and the categories of sources of which it was collected
- The specific pieces of Personal Information collected about you
- The business or commercial purpose for collecting your Personal Information
- The categories of third-parties with whom we shared your Personal Information
- The categories of Personal Information about you that we otherwise shared or disclosed, and the categories of third-parties with whom we shared or to whom we disclosed it (if applicable)
Deletion: You can also ask us to delete the Personal Information we have collected from you.
