Metadata integrity for seismic data
Tape Ark has built toolsets that allow for the capture of hundreds of millions of attributes from seismic and well data at scale. As we ingest seismic data from tape or disk, our core focus is to ensure that the data remains accurate and up to date. Tape Ark has the capability to interrogate any byte location in any file and any format, allowing for both standard metadata capture and bespoke solutions.
Seismic metadata extraction tools
Tape Ark has built scalable, cloud based toolsets that allow for multiple petabytes of data to be parsed using Lambda and serverless functions that can generate massive volumes of metadata at the click of a button, no matter how large the datasets are. The tools work on all major clouds (Azure, AWS and Google) and can generate metadata conforming to OSDU and PPDM compliant databases.
Metadata management in the cloud
Tape Ark has designed .json, .csv, and database format metadata extraction and sidecar files that allow for the liberation of the largest datasets on the planet into the cloud that are easy to consume, access or share. Because we work at scale, Tape Ark has been responsible for some of the largest seismic data metadata extraction projects around the world.
Given cloud storage systems are ideal for large volumes of data, machine learning and AI applications, Tape Ark spent considerable time ensuring that our metadata extraction is done fast, accurately, and with an error correction process that allows for multiple passes of the data to build your metadata catalogues, without the need to start over each time you make new decisions about what you want to capture.
