Great news for our North American customers with Tape Ark's new Oklahoma facility opening in April 2019. Working closely with our partner Seagate, this facility is designed to accommodate customers with one tape to ten million tapes across all formats of media. Once ingested to the cloud, this data, which includes but is not limited to exploration data, broadcast media content and corporate back-up, becomes instantly and economically accessible to the client, making it available for the application of analytics, AI and ML technologies.

Seagate partners with Tape Ark in global deal to liberate tape-archived legacy data

PERTH, Western Australia (11 December 2018):  Perth-based “tape to cloud” data management organisation Tape Ark has successfully reached a partnership agreement with global data storage giant Seagate Technology plc based in Cupertino, California. 

The agreement will see Seagate’s Lyve Data Services advanced data management expertise being combined with Tape Ark’s unique data restoration technology, to enable zettabytes of tape-bound data to be rapidly migrated from client’s aging offsite tapes directly to large public cloud platforms of the customer’s choice to enable access and analysis using AI-driven technologies.
