Tape Ark, a global leader in tape data management and mass cloud migration services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Samantha May as the company’s first Managing Director.
Following a successful year in which Tape Ark was recognized as the 2024 WA Innovator of the Year Runner-Up; the 2025 and 2024 WA Exporter of the Year in the Professional Services category; and ranked as Deloitte’s 40th fastest growing tech company in Australia in 2024 (up from 41st in 2023), Samantha brings a wealth of leadership experience and a deep understanding of the market challenges, positioning Tape Ark for continued growth and success.
With a strong track record in
driving business innovation and operational excellence, Samantha is set to lead the company alongside CEO & Founder Guy Holmes, through an exciting period of expansion and development. “I’m thrilled to be taking on the role of Tape Ark’s Managing Director at such a pivotal time,” said Samantha. “Together with our global team, we will continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in tape data management and ensure that Tape Ark remains at the forefront of industry innovation.”
In her concurrent role as Company Secretary, Samantha ensures strong governance and compliance, upholding the company’s commitment to accountability and transparency.

Samantha is a Chartered Secretary and since late 2024 has been assuming components of her new role as Managing Director.
